Kayla Menendez (Patterson) is not just my sister—she’s a loving mother, cousin, and friend who has always been there to brighten anyone’s day. Her strong spirit and sense of humor has lifted us all when times were tough. Kayla’s laughter is contagious and her smile just is radiant .

Recently, Kayla suffered a seizure and heart failure, which led to her being hospitalized and in a coma. Our family is now facing the unimaginable possibility of end of life care. As we try to prepare for what comes next, we are reaching out for help to cover urgent needs for her children, including food, clothing, and even dog food for their beloved pet. If the worst happens, we will also need support for funeral expenses to honor Kayla’s memory with the dignity she deserves.
