Kayla's father is a loving parent to six children and is currently helping raise his young grandson. For years, he has supported his family and community through his small business, Mobile Auto Repair, driving to help people wherever they need their vehicle fixed around Wisconsin. His dedication to his work and family has always been unwavering.
At the age of twenty-seven, he had his first heart attack and was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease. Over the years he has had a total of seven heart attacks, leading to countless cardiac catheterizations with numerous stents to hold the vessels open and prevent blockage. About a month ago, he had what is being referred to as a "heart event"—it wasn't a total heart attack, but something happened that led doctors to find a 100% blockage in one artery. They placed a stent in it, but this past weekend, the stent failed, causing a heart attack. Doctors are currently keeping the vessel open with medication and weaning him off of his blood thinners before they can perform a bypass surgery. The road to recovery will be long, with an estimated healing time of six to twelve weeks. During this period, he will face strict limits on heavy lifting and driving, making it impossible for him to return to work for at least three months.
This fundraiser is to help cover the bills and living expenses that will pile up while he is unable to run his business. The funds will also help ease the financial stress on his wife, who is carrying a heavy emotional and financial load during this difficult time. We appreciate anyone who has read this far and thank anyone who is kind enough to help relieve some of the financial stress during such an emotionally stressful situation for all.
