My nephew came home from working out of town and suddenly became gravely ill. His wife, Katrina, rushed him to the hospital, where he was admitted and quickly became the sickest patient there. His kidneys failed, then his liver, and his heart stopped twice. He is now suffering from complete organ failure and remains unresponsive in the ICU. The doctors are still searching for answers, and every day brings new challenges—his fever spikes, and his heart is at risk of failing again. He is barely hanging on, and our hearts are broken watching this unfold.
Katrina has not left his side in the hospital, praying constantly that her children won't lose their father. My nephew is the sole provider for his wife and their six young daughters. With him unable to work, Katrina is left with nothing to support herself and their children. She has asked for nothing but prayers, but the reality is that she needs help to provide for her family during this unimaginable time.
I'm asking not for myself, but for those six little girls who might lose their father, and for his wife, Katrina, who has only asked for prayers that God won't take the love of her life. Anything you can give would be a blessing. I know in my heart that God is holding Mr. Watkins in His righteous right hand, but this young wife and mother needs the whole community's help. Please, if you can, help this family with clothes, toys, rent, utilities, and other daily expenses. Your support means everything to them as they walk through this difficult journey.
