My Dad lost his dear wife this past week unexpectedly. She was a well-loved member of so many communities, among them substance abuse treatment and a strong leader in the recovery community. She was a nurse, a survivor, a wife, a friend, a stepmother, Dude and Poppy's mom, a soon to be beloved grandmother, among countless other things.

My Dad spent many years dedicating everything to Katie which included many hospital visits and late nights which he happily did. As one can imagine, this creates a financial strain. Many of you have been asking how they can help or be part of honoring her, this is one way. My Dad has found a perfect spot to lay her to rest so she can continue to place herself among the beauty of the world.

Thank you to everyone for their support during this time. We'd also love to hear kind words to Katie and memories you have, impacts she made on your life, etc. She was a force!

The burial will be this month and the celebration of life will be at a later determined time!
