A few days ago, Katie, who will be 11 next month, began experiencing severe headaches and blurred vision. Concerned, her mother Breann took her to the ER, where doctors discovered Katie has Chiari Malformation—a structural defect where brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, causing pressure and blocking fluid flow. After being admitted to the ICU, further tests revealed even more devastating news: Katie has three tumors, one on her brain stem and two on her spinal cord. The medical team recommended urgent surgery to drain excess fluid and will be transferring Katie to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis for specialized care.

This sudden crisis has turned Breann and Austin’s world upside down. With three other daughters at home who need their love and support, both parents will be out of work for an extended period as they focus on Katie’s treatment and recovery. The emotional and financial strain is overwhelming, and they are doing everything they can to stay strong for their family.
