Support for Kathy for Cancer Treatment

Hello, I’m Myranda and I started this GoFund me to raise money for my aunt, Kathy, who was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, which is a fast growing cancer and it’s showing to be slightly aggressive. She is going through an extensive cancer treatment at the Mayo. Her treatment will involve appointments at the Mayo every 2 weeks and being admitted for 3-7 days each visit for treatment. While she is home in Hibbing, she will do a chemotherapy infusion. Due to work, family will have to bring her down for her appointment, come back home, and then drive back down when she is being discharged. 

Starting November, our family starting noticing slight changes with my aunt. December 12, she was brought to the ER. She had an MRI and they found 2 large brain tumors, both the size of tangerines. She was very incoherent, not alert, and forgetting basic functions. On December 13, my mom and my cousin, Justin, left Hibbing and brought her to the ER at Mayo Clinic. She was admitted and spent 7 days in the hospital while she underwent another MRI and more tests. She was given a steroid, which made a huge difference. The tumors did start to shrink and she was herself again. She was discharged while we waited for all the tests to come back. On December 27, she went back to the Mayo, where she was diagnosed with the Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

My mom and Justin have made several trips already to bring her down, along with several hotel stays. Costs are already adding up, and we are only at the start of this journey. My aunt lost her job due to her diagnosis, and is unable to work at this time. 

Donations will be used for travel, hotel stays, food, and to help my aunt and cousin financially, as they adjust to living off one income and the increased medical expenses. We appreciate your support!
