Growing up, us kids lived through her stories of childhood the Silicon Valley with 3 other siblings and her adventures in Japan as a young adult. Until the last few years, Silicon Valley was her home but family priorities grew and she stepped in the care for her loved ones. Sacrificing her life so that others wouldn’t have to feel that burden.
Both her and my Aunt Veronica really became the lifeline to our family with aiding in care for our Uncle who has Down syndrome and grandmother who is 93. Kathy helped provide the daily care needed and exerting herself emotionally so the routines that created a sense of peace would remain.
Every family has their struggles, and the last few years have been harder than most. With a sudden loss of my parents in 2024, my grandmother being placed in long term care and Aunt Kathy being diagnosed with heart failure no one knew about until it was too late, we are all trying to keep our heads above water. these events have impacted us in ways that are unimaginable but shown us what is important. Kathy wasn’t just anyone to us. She was the kindness we never knew existed in the world. She taught us to always see the best in people, to appreciate the little things, and to treasure the moments.
All donations will help raise enough for funeral costs, memorial, and any unexpected expenses as my family navigates during this time. Donations would also help us offset the cost of care for my Uncle while we move forward. Any donations, no matter how small, will mean everything to me and my family. Thank you from the Gallagher - Lewis - Bradford family. ❤️
