My name is John, and I am caring for my beloved partner, Kathleen, who has been in and out of hospice care..The doctors have told us that there are no further treatments available to stop her cancer, and we are facing an incredibly difficult and emotional time together. In November she had several seizures and one grand mall seizure and the doctors say these were caused by her cancer. Her weight is down to 71 pounds (normally 115 lbs) Every day brings new challenges, and I am doing everything I can to support Kathleen and make her as comfortable as possible.
Because of Kathleen’s needs, I have had to take significant time away from work to be by her side. We need help with daily living expenses (Just rent car and utilities are over 3K/month) and there is food, business expenses etc..... Kathleen requires assistance getting up to the bathroom (which can become a 1-2 hour ordeal) and moving up and down the stairs.
We are still holding onto hope for total healing and are involved with homeopathic, herbal remedies and alternative therapies but we realize what doctors have told us. Any support you can offer will make a meaningful difference in our lives and help us focus on Kathleen’s comfort and care. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity during this challenging time. Thank you for being part of our community and for keeping us in your thoughts.
