Support for Kason and his family #supportKason
Donation protected
This past Saturday Kason Myszka was in a serious snowmobile accident. Kason is my niece Codi and her husband Donavon's 11 year old son. Kason is going to have a very long road of recovery ahead of him. He is currently in the PICU unit in the Marshfield hospital. The accident crushed his femur and broke his patella, humerus, wrist, scapula and pelvis. (I didn't know where all these bones were located so I had to look them up.) He had an 8 hour surgery to repair his femur and wrist shortly after arriving at the hospital. He will have additional surgeries to address his other injuries.
Kason will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. Any support you can offer to defer some of the costs they will incur over the next months is greatly appreciated. Codi and Donavon are fortunate to have supportive employers that will allow them to be with Kason as he is in the hospital and as he recovers, but they will both be missing a lot of work in the coming months. They will need to build a ramp for him to get into the house once he is able to go home, plus other modifications may be needed to their home so he can get around on his own once home.
Codi and Donavon would like to thank the Medford Police Dept., Medford Fire Dept. , EMTS, Paramedics, Rory and Sheri F, Haley and Jason E, Joe S, and so many more that helped at the accident site. They would also like to thank the medical staff at Marshfield Hospital PICU unit and their supportive family. Additionally, everyone that has sent words of encouragement and prayers their way. They appreciate all of you!!
