Hello, we are Karolina and Jarek!
We have been accused of distributing poisons and psychotropic substances, as well as deriving enormous financial benefits from this practice, although the irrefutable facts contradict it. After a lengthy trial, we were found guilty, even though, we presented contradicting evidence backed by witnesses' testimonies.
We were compared with the most dangerous mafia and Hitler. It is not true of course, because it is just the „story” that was designed to destroy us. We have always been willing to help, not only other people but every living creature. Our music has been helping and healing for many years. We love Mother Earth, our intention was a new, better world. A world without fighting, full of love and understanding. It was for helping those in need, that we were sentenced to many years of imprisonment by a Czech court judgment.
They want to take away our only home, for which we have worked hard. They want to take away our dreams of a beautiful meditation center that we planned to build, together with Piotr, who got also involved in the whole matter. They want to take back our shared property, which has been legally purchased, of which there is ample evidence. Our closest family and friends helped us with the renovation works for free, and we did most of the work with our own hands. We grew our veggies. We wanted this place to become a refuge that would soothe pain and bring peace. Even in our darkest dreams, we could not imagine what had happened to us.
We will never forget that October day when we were dragged from a warm bed onto the cold floor and handcuffed by the anti-terrorist units and taken to strict custody in Ostrava. At that moment, our life crumbled, everything just suddenly collapsed. For many months in detention, we were isolated, feeling terrible sorrow for our family, friends, freedom ...
Today, appealing against the unfair judgment, we undertake an unequal fight against the ignorance of what ayahuasca vine is and how a person can use it without harming himself. The world puts it on a par with intoxicating, addictive, and harmful to human health substances. Although more and more people understand that living in harmony with the surrounding nature and using its gifts is a blessing for man, it is a long way, i.a. to legalize medicinal plants, which are national goods in one country and the subject of police investigations in another.
The law equates ceremonies, that aim to help with healing the body and mind, to drug usage. All this is a result of the lack of elementary knowledge about the positive impact and the possibility of using the potential of plants that can help overcome depression or addictions. We chose the difficult path of fighting for the welfare of people, on which, unfortunately, we faced a hard law that judged us without trying to delve into the truth. Apart from freedom and dignity, everything that we had, has been taken away from us, plunging our families into debt.
We did not have much, as shown by irrefutable evidence (financial help from family, friends, and loans). The indictment itself was based on assumptions and multiple errors. We do not accept such a harsh sentence. We are currently at the appeal stage and are gathering information and evidence that may help to challenge the unfair sentence. There are hundreds of people behind us, but this whole fight is exhausting and costly. The process has been dragging on for a year and a half, and we are very exhausted, both mentally and physically. We appeal for understanding and support, with great faith in our hearts, for a better tomorrow ... The collected funds will largely be spent on lawyers, appeals to the higher court, publicizing the case, and will help in returning to Freedom, to life ...
