When someone passes away, they always leave behind loved ones who carry the weight of their absence.

In memory of Karina, we’ve created this GoFundMe to support her special needs son, Gilberto Marín, during this incredibly difficult time.  This will give him and his father space to heal without financial pressure.

Karina's legacy extends beyond her professional accomplishments to her personal impact. Survived by her two children Gil and her new born, a grieving family, and a community that will forever remember her generosity, spirit, and resilience. In honoring her privacy and respecting her in the best way I know how, we offer unwavering support to her family in this time of loss to carry forward Karina's memory with the same grace and determination she bestowed upon us. 

We recommend a donation to her son Gil who will be going through a time of transition we would hope upon no one.

Gil’s father is grieving deeply, and we hope this small gesture of support can help ease the burden he carries not just emotionally, but financially, as he continues to care for Gil.

Gil will feel the loss of his mother for many years to come. While no amount of money can fill the space she leaves behind, a donation of any size can help provide some comfort and stability as he navigates life without her.
