We lost our mum, Karetha (better known to many as Pebbles or Kay), after a sudden and devastating battle with kidney cancer.

She was diagnosed and admitted to hospital, and within just a month, she was gone. It all happened so quickly that it still doesn’t feel real, and we are still trying to come to terms with losing her.

She was not just our mum, but our best friend. She had four daughters and eight grandchildren who absolutely adored her. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself, and she had a way of making everyone feel loved, welcome and cared for. She truly was the heart of our family.

She lived for many years close to Shepherd’s Bush and was loved by so many people in the community. The amount of love and messages we’ve received shows just how many lives she touched.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for me and my family. Alongside the grief, we are now facing the financial pressure that comes with funeral costs and immediate expenses.

We are hoping to raise £15,000 to help cover funeral costs and support our family during this difficult time.

I’ve set up this page to help ease some of that burden so we can focus on grieving and saying goodbye properly, without the added stress.
