On February 27, 2026, our family lost my mom, Karen Panico-Willis, suddenly while she was at work. Her passing was unexpected, and our hearts are completely broken as we try to process this unimaginable loss.

Karen was an incredible mother, friend, and a person who meant so much to her community. She had a heart that was open to everyone. She welcomed so many of her friends’ children as if they were her own, offering love, support, and a safe place whenever it was needed. Her home was always open, and she made everyone feel like family.

She also cared deeply about helping others beyond her own circle. Karen proudly supported causes close to her heart, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She believed in showing up for people and helping wherever she could.

Karen’s kindness, generosity, and love touched countless lives. She was someone people could depend on, someone who gave without hesitation, and someone who will be missed more than words can express.

Because her passing was so sudden, our family was not prepared for the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. We are asking for help so we can give Karen the service she deserves and honor her life and memory.
