My mom, Karen, has always been the person to help someone in need, no matter the circumstances. She’s known for her bubbly personality and love for any and every animal. Now, she’s facing one of the toughest challenges of her life—in February she’s was diagnosed with angiosarcoma a rare aggressive form of liver cancer and is currently on hospice care. She did one round of chemo, ultimately the chemo was unsuccessful and the cancer had spread to her liver more. In May she made the decision to go onto hospice so that she could live the rest of her life comfortably at home. It has been an incredibly difficult time for all of us, both emotionally and financially.
We’re raising funds to help cover the mounting medical bills, hospice care, living expenses, and the anticipated costs of her funeral. The support we receive will allow us to focus on spending meaningful time with Karen and making her as comfortable as possible during this stage. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference for our family and help us honor the loving, generous person she has always been.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Karen’s journey. Your kindness and support mean the world to us as we navigate this challenging time.
