Karen passed away suddenly on the morning of March 4. She was a devoted grandmother, mother, and friend, and is survived by her two sons, daughter, grandson and her father, all of whom now feel a deep ache in their hearts. Karen loved spending time with her three year old grandson whom she absolutely adored, and cheering on her daughter Kayli in barrel racing competitions. When she wasn't watching barrel racing, she could be found camping with friends and spending time with her kids, and she was always devoted to her two constant companions, Tajin and Toby.

During the week Karen worked as a medical assistant at Kaiser, supporting patients recovering from vascular procedures and with difficult-to-heal wounds. She was the heart and soul of her clinic, supporting her co-workers tirelessly and always bringing a sparkle of energy and hope to her patients. Karen had a great sense of humor: she could often be found cracking a joke or laughing at someone else's. She radiated joy outward to everyone in her presence. Her kindness touched so many lives, and she will be greatly missed.

Her sudden passing has left her family facing unexpected expenses, and we want to come together to support them during this difficult time. The funds raised will go directly toward covering funeral and memorial costs, and will greatly help ease the burden for Karen's loved ones.
