I'm reaching out to Karen's family and friends because she could really use our support right now. I know it wasn't easy for her to say yes to letting me create this fundraiser, but she trusts in the kindness of those who care about her. As many of you know, Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread and she has faced new complications. Her doctor is now recommending that she no longer works, which has brought a lot of uncertainty and worry for her and our family.

With Karen unable to work, she is facing mounting household and medical expenses. While she is in the process of applying for social security disability, there will be a period where she needs help to cover these costs.
