Never in my life did I imagine I would be setting up a GoFundMe, but life has taken an unexpected turn. On May 8, 2025, my husband, Brian Newsome, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at just 43 years old. Brian was a fighter from the start, choosing to undergo chemotherapy and face the disease head-on. I stood by his side every step of the way, and together we used our savings to keep our home afloat and ensure I could care for him during his treatment. Brian was a diesel mechanic and had his own service truck for many years. He was well known in the trucking industry and throughout the Columbus, Ohio area. For Brian, work was more than a job—it was his passion. He loved working on semis and was always willing to lend a hand to others in need.

On October 8, 2025, after five months of fighting, Brian passed away. The loss has been overwhelming, but I returned to work just two weeks later, determined to keep moving forward. Despite my efforts, the financial strain has been immense. Family and friends generously helped with a large part of the funeral expenses, for which I am more grateful than words can express. However, I still owe for the funeral and headstone, and regular monthly bills like lot rent, electric, heat, and my cell phone continue to come in. At the beginning of January, I lost my job due to it being seasonal, but I was fortunate to find new employment shortly after. Still, the transition has been tough, and I need help getting over this hump.

I am reaching out for support to help cover these remaining expenses and to give myself a chance to catch up as I adjust to my new job. My biggest fear is disappointing or failing my husband, and your kindness and generosity mean more to me than I can ever say. Thank you for considering a donation and for helping me through this incredibly difficult time.
