Support for Kalewater Defibrillators

Donation protected
A bit of History: The Kalewater Community Council successfully raised funds in the past to place 4 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units in locations across the Kalewater valley (Morebattle, Hownam, Linton, and Cessford). Periodic fundraising has taken place to raise funds to replace parts. However, the cost of equipment has risen sharply, which means that the current funds held by KCC for defibrillators is not enough to urgently replace batteries and pads to ensure the AEDs remain useable and rescue ready.

The Kalewater Community Council will be holding a coffee morning fundraiser event in the near future to raise funds for use now, and will continue to fundraise in the future to ensure the ongoing integrity of the current AEDs and future replacements over the years.

It is appreciated that not all community members can attend fundraising events, so this Gofundme has been set up to enable you to still provide support. In particular, it would be very helpful if businesses located in Kalewater, would consider making a donation through this Gofundme campaign.

If you wish to have further information, please contact the Kalewater Community Council - details of which are located on the noticeboard outside the shop.
