It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are asking for help in laying our beautiful new son/grandson to rest.

Early this morning, our daughter Kaitlyn experienced every new mother's nightmare. She woke up to her almost 4-month-old son, Peter, not breathing and non-responsive. CPR was started and 911 called. Peter was transported by ambulance to KRMC and worked on for close to an hour but did not make it. He was a couple of days shy of his 4-month birthday.

We are asking for help at this time as both she and her husband Tyler will have to take time off from work to grieve and process this tragedy. Kaitlyn is a Kindergarten teacher at The Marvelous Microschool, and Tyler was a brand new hire at Westlake Chemical. With help and support, they will be able to take this time to process what happened to their first son and first successful pregnancy that they tried for over 2 years. Peter was also a success story as Kaitlyn went into preterm labor at 25 weeks but stayed in Las Vegas Children's Hospital until he was born at 33 weeks. He spent 2 weeks in NICU and was able to go home a month later because of how strong he was.

2 years of wishing and praying only to have him taken so soon. So you can see how this story is devastating to all of our friends and family.
