3/19/2026- Today while my mom, Tiffany, walked her dog, Ikaika “Kai,” another dog charged at them. Kai jumped in front of my mom to protect her. The owner did not have him leashed as per their neighborhood rules nor did he seem to care about what happened, so that will be something taken up in civil court. However, as of right now, he has several wounds and a large unknown lump that he sustained in the fight. My mother is currently going through a divorce and getting back on her feet. She does not have the funds for the vet and has been denied at CareCredit, Cherry, Scratchpay, etc. The vets I have talked to will not take him without some form of payment. We’re asking for help in anything to go towards vet costs so we can ensure he is fine. Thank you.
