My name is Lylie, and I am raising funds for my beloved grandson, Kairo King. Kairo is a bright and resilient 2-year-old who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at just one year old. He is the youngest of four siblings, with three loving sisters aged 12, 7, and 6. Kairo faces many challenges—he is nonverbal, has very limited movement in his limbs, and is deaf. He relies on a feeding tube and cochlear implants, and attends special education programs at our city school. Despite these obstacles, Kairo’s spirit shines through every day.
As his maternal grandmother, my heart breaks each day seeing the struggles he and my daughter face. I am a 66-year-old veteran of the US military and a dedicated community volunteer, always striving to help others. Now, I find myself asking for help for my own family. Transporting Kairo to his many doctor appointments is physically and emotionally demanding, especially as my daughter has to lift him and his wheelchair in and out of the car several times a day. The need for reliable travel and mobile support has become urgent for us.
Your support would make a tremendous difference in Kairo’s life and ease the daily burdens on our family. I am deeply grateful for any help you can offer, and I trust that, with God’s guidance and the kindness of our community, we will get through this together. Thank you kindly for considering our family and for any support you can provide.
