Honoring the Life of Kailon Price & Supporting His Family

On Friday, March 13, 2026, just after 4:30 p.m., 14-year-old Kailon Price was tragically shot and killed on Kerr Street in Memphis, Tennessee.

Kailon was a bright, loving, and energetic young man whose smile could light up any room. He brought joy to those around him and had a spirit that drew people in. His life, though far too short, was filled with purpose, promise, and connection.

Kailon’s mother worked tirelessly to keep him engaged in positive, uplifting activities. He participated in programs such as the MPD Summer Youth Program and local little league football teams. He also spent countless hours at Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, where he discovered a passion for rock climbing and found a place of safety, encouragement, and belonging.

Through Memphis Rox—the largest nonprofit climbing gym in the world—Kailon was not only introduced to a new skill, but also to a community that supported and uplifted him. He even appeared briefly in Episode 2 of Memphis to the Mountain, a documentary following Memphis climbers on a journey to climb Mount Kenya.

Kailon had dreams of giving back to his community. He wanted to open a grocery store in his neighborhood so families could have a safe and accessible place to shop—something he recognized was deeply needed.

Tragically, Kailon’s life was taken by gun violence, leaving his family, friends, and community devastated.

Now, we come together to support his family during this unimaginable time.

We are raising funds to assist with funeral expenses, including transportation from the coroner’s office to the funeral home, embalming, memorial services, burial, and any additional needs the family may face.

No amount is too small. Every donation is a gesture of love, support, and compassion for Kailon’s family as they navigate this painful loss.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser. Together, we can honor Kailon’s life and surround his family with the care and kindness they need right now.
