The Incident: On July 19th, Justin was enjoying a day with friends at a pool, savoring the joys of summer. However, that day took a devastating turn when an unforeseen accident occurred. Justin hit his head on the bottom of the pool, resulting in fractures to his C6 and C7 vertebrae. This incident has left Justin facing significant challenges and a long road to recovery.

The Journey to Recovery: Since that fateful day, Justin has been bravely battling through numerous challenges. He has already undergone two surgeries and spent weeks at Summa hospital. Currently, he is at Edwin Shaw, where he is diligently undergoing physical and occupational therapy. His determination is awe-inspiring, as he works to regain as much movement and function as possible. Justin currently possesses feeling in his upper arms, can lift his elbows, and even turn his wrists, but the lower parts of his body remain unresponsive.

The Financial Strain: With such a severe injury, the Lee family is confronted with both emotional and financial burdens. In order to facilitate Justin's transition back home, the family needs to remodel the first floor of their house to accommodate his needs. Additionally, they must purchase a custom wheelchair and bed, essential for Justin's comfort and mobility. Unfortunately, insurance coverage falls short when it comes to these crucial expenses.

The Power of Unity: During this trying time, the Lee family draws strength from their faith, community, and friends like you.
