On Thursday morning, one of my dearest friends and the entire Cheeseman family experienced the unimaginable loss of Justin Cheeseman.

Justin was deeply loved by so many — as a son, father, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend. The shock of losing him so suddenly has left an immeasurable void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

His twin sister is now facing the heartbreaking loss of not only her brother, but her lifelong other half and built-in best friend. His two younger brothers are also grieving the loss of someone they looked up to and loved deeply. His mother is enduring every parent’s worst nightmare: the loss of her child.

Justin also leaves behind his young son, who will now grow up without his father. He is still so little, and his mother now faces the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives while helping him navigate a future without Justin beside him.

As the family grieves this devastating loss, they are also carrying the unexpected burden of funeral and memorial expenses. In the coming days, Justin’s son and his mother — who had only recently relocated to the area — will be returning home to be closer to their support system, which also means leaving behind work and starting over during an incredibly painful time.

We are asking for support to help ease some of the financial strain so the Cheeseman family can focus on what matters most right now: grieving, healing, and surrounding Justin’s son with love and stability.
