Justin was a beautiful, smart, creative, spiritual, and compassionate soul. I was lucky to call him my best friend for 16 years. Throughout his life, Justin created interactive art installations for his friends, always finding ways to bring people together and inspire joy. He was a devoted Buddhist, and his spiritual journey was a central part of his life. Even while facing his own struggles, he was the first to listen and support the ones he loved, showing a depth of empathy that touched everyone around him.

Justin battled severe depression, bipolar disorder, and body dysmorphia for many years. He tried his hardest to fight, seeking help through medication, therapy, and spiritual exploration. Despite his courage and determination, Justin lost his battle to depression. His mother, Jamie, is a single mother and an immigrant from Korea. Her husband, Justin’s dad, passed away when Justin was just 2 years old, and she has no other family or children. Jamie is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing her only child, along with the financial burden of funeral and associated costs.

This fundraiser is to help Jamie with funeral expenses and any other costs related to Justin’s passing.
