My name is Kristina, and I am creating this fundraiser for two of my very best friends, Justin and Niki Estes. This morning, Niki woke up and realized Justin was showing signs of a stroke. She immediately called 911, and he was taken by ambulance to the CCMC Emergency Room, where treatment began. Justin initially showed signs of improvement, but his condition later worsened. He is currently intubated and unable to interact with his loved ones. We are still waiting for a complete neurological evaluation and hoping to have more answers soon.

Justin and Niki are well-known and loved within our local music community. They make much of their living by playing live gigs, sharing their music, and bringing joy to the people around them. With Justin hospitalized and facing an uncertain recovery, he cannot perform or earn income. Niki also needs the freedom to remain by his side without having to choose between supporting the man she loves and keeping up with everyday expenses.

These two have already overcome so much together. Niki recently fought an incredibly difficult and life-threatening battle with alcohol addiction. She chose sobriety, fought to save her own life, and worked hard to build a healthier future with Justin. Their love and commitment helped carry her through that darkness. Now, Justin is facing a battle of his own, and we are holding onto hope that the love they share will help carry him through this, one moment and one day at a time.

Justin and Niki are the kind of people who show up for others. They give their friendship, music, time, love, and support freely. They have helped lift others when they were struggling, and now they need their community to help lift them. Donations will help cover lost income while Justin is unable to perform or work, hospital and medical-related expenses, transportation, travel, parking, meals, household bills during this medical emergency, care for their two beloved dogs, Prudence and Max, and any additional recovery or rehabilitation needs that may arise.

No donation is too small. Every contribution, prayer, and share will help relieve some of the financial pressure so that Niki can focus on Justin and the difficult road ahead.
