Support for Justin and Jen's Mountain Recovery

Justin, Jen, Chase, and Maddie: our family, best friends, and simply incredible people. They moved to Asheville in 2015 from Southwest Florida, drawn by the call of the mountains and a change of scenery. Justin and Jen first settled in Hendersonville, NC, but soon embarked on an even bigger adventure—building their dream home by hand in Swannanoa, NC. Justin and his father spent countless hours planning and constructing it, and in 2023, they finally moved in.

By the grace of God, their home is still standing, and they survived—but their lives have been turned upside down and forever changed. There are so many unknowns: where will the kids go to school? Will they have employment and income? And perhaps most pressing, when will they be able to come down from the mountain? They’re working together with neighbors, pooling resources, and focusing on survival right now. All roads out have washed away.

Will they need financial help? Almost certainly. The funds raised will be used to help them get their lives back together, and any amount left over will go to others in similarly dire situations. Jen and Justin are some of the most caring people we know, and we want to show them that they have an entire village standing behind them. We love you, and we’re so grateful you’re safe. ❤️
