My father, Junior Chee, passed away on December 25th. My father suffered a brain aneurysm and a stroke in October and was flown to Albuquerque to the ICU, where he stayed in that hospital for 2 months. The doctors and nurses were very helpful, kind, and generous. This was a difficult time for my mother because she currently lives an hour and 45 minutes from that hospital. She would stay with him for the duration of the time and go back home on the weekends. Later on, he was transferred to a less critical unit area. The doctors told him that he may never wake up and he will probably never be the same. This was very hard news for my mother as she, of course, was wanting everything for her husband to wake up.

My father was currently the only income provider in the household. He worked at a job since he was 15 years old, and his bosses were generous enough to keep paying him after he suffered his brain aneurysm and stroke. But unfortunately, my mom found out that her insurance would not cover the cost of the medical stay, so my mom and some of my family members made the decision to let his bosses know if they can terminate him so he can be eligible for a different kind of insurance to cover the medical bills and the transfer back to the town we need to be.

On Monday, the 22nd of December, my mom was able to bring my dad home, but unfortunately, 3 days later, he passed away on the 25th of December.
