Our mother, Julie, underwent emergency heart surgery to replace her metal valves after being rushed to the ER on September 4th due to breathing difficulties and severe chest pain. She was transferred to Red Deer Hospital until September 6th, then moved to Foothills Medical Centre, where doctors discovered blood clots and a leak in her valve. They recommended blood thinners to dissolve the clot before surgery. Initially, she was recovering well, but on September 12th, she lost her appetite and experienced nausea, chest pain, and back pain. Her condition worsened, and she was moved to the CICU on September 12th. The next morning, we received a call that she was in critical condition and required immediate surgery. My brother drove from Saskatchewan, leaving his two-week-old baby, and picked up our 14-year-old sister on the way. Honestly, we're struggling financially; I haven't worked since leaving Hanna, and we're running out of funds. We're unsure when our mom will wake up, and we're asking for any support possible to be by her side during this challenging time.
