Support for Julie Hoffer's Memorial Expenses
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts to announce our loved one's passing. It was very unexpected and sudden. Julie Hoffer was a daughter, a mother to Michelle, and a grandmother to Nash and Nydia. She lost her husband in 2021. We are still struggling with the cost of his afterlife expenses. Everyone knew her as Grandma. This Grandma was very special to everyone around and has touched everyone’s hearts. She loved her music, her car, her tattoos, and her cats. She was a family-oriented person; she loved hanging out and playing games with family. She was a nurse until she got into a severe car accident when she was 33, where she broke her back, causing her to not be able to work anymore. She was on social security her whole life after that. She had no way to prepare for these expenses we're asking for help for today. She was 66 years old when she passed on Sept 15, 2024. On Sept 14, 2024, we found her unconscious in her home; she had a heart attack and was septic. She was put on life support, they took her to the ICU and sent us home as they got her comfortable and visiting hours were closed for the ICU. At 2:30 am on Sept 15, 2024, we were called back to the hospital due to her having more heart attacks and her heart was getting weaker. We sat with her all night until morning when the doctors did an ultrasound of her heart and a large portion of her heart was not pumping. We then decided we had to let go, that we had to let the worst thing that could happen to us happen. It’s what she would have wanted. At 8:55 am on Sept 15, 2024, we stopped life support. She held strong for a little over an hour. This was super unexpected and sudden, and her house, her room, everything was left with intentions of her coming back home to us. We didn’t get any last words, hugs, games, or anything.
With that being said, we are left with the costs of everything after. We are wanting to raise money to pay for her services as she got cremated, and we’re doing a small gathering of family and friends. We struggle to ask for help in these unfortunate times, but every single dollar will help if anyone can spare. Thank you for your consideration and at the very least, please share if you can. We don’t expect help, but anyone wishing to help has the opportunity to do so.
