In Memoriam: Support for Julie and Jack
Last Thursday, our beloved friend Jon Reimann passed away unexpectedly at his home in Holyoke.
If you were friends with Jon, you know he pursued his passions fully and put care and attention into all that he did. He was a gifted carpenter and craftsman who spent countless hours renovating the home he shared with his partner Julie and her son Jack. Little made him happier than tending his ever-expanding backyard garden, learning more about the natural world with each vegetable and fruit tree he planted.
However, what we remember most is the joy he took in sharing with others the things he made—a meal, a finely crafted table, or his latest batch of homemade ginger beer. To Julie, Jon was a loving partner and a best friend. To Jack, he was an amazing model of kindness and generosity. And for so many of us, he was a confidante, a helper, and an unflaggingly loyal friend.
In memory of the guy we loved, we want to support his partner Julie and her son Jack as they manage the emotional and financial challenges of this loss. The total amount we raise together will be given directly to Julie to ease their transition and the expenses that follow.
