Support for Julie: A Lifetime of Service, A Moment of Need

For over 20 years, Julie has been the person you call when you’re in trouble. Whether it was her 10 years in the ambulance service, her work in A&E and the community, or her recent years as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, Julie’s life has been defined by one thing: helping others.

On top of her professional service, she is:

• A volunteer Scout Leader of 9 years.

• A Domestic Abuse Warrior.

• A devoted single mum to two SEN children for over a decade.

The Current Crisis

Despite being a pillar of our community, Julie is now facing her hardest battle yet. Since 2024, she has been fighting Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Due to a medical system failure, her treatment only began in February 2026.

The cancer and chemotherapy have taken a massive toll. With fluid on her lungs and extreme weight loss, she is now struggling with her mobility. To make matters worse, a devastating car accident—caused by the blinding glare of modern headlights—has left her car written off.

Julie is now a cancer patient without transport, relying on food banks, and unable to walk long distances.

How We Can Help

We are rallying together to raise funds for two vital necessities that will give Julie her independence and dignity back:

2. Mobility Aids: A wheelchair or mobility scooter to help her navigate life while she battles fluid on her lungs.
