Our family is grieving an unimaginable loss. In 2012, my mother lost her first son to gun violence. It took years for her to accept that she would never again see or hold her child. Now, we are facing the devastating reality of losing her youngest son, Julian—also to gun violence.

Julian spent a month in critical care fighting for his life. Even on his 25th birthday, he was surrounded by family in the hospital, holding onto hope and strength. Despite all efforts and prayers, he passed away on November 17th, 2025.

He was only 11 years old when he lost his oldest brother, and now they rest united in heaven. Both of my brothers were fathers, and their children are left to grow up without their dads. As for my mom, a single parent who has already endured more heartbreak than any parent ever should, there are no words to describe her pain.

While we cannot ease the emotional weight of this tragedy, we hope to alleviate some of the financial burden. We are asking for help with funeral expenses so we can give Julian the respectful and loving farewell he deserves. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated.
