My mom underwent surgery today after doctors discovered a large mass in her abdomen just last week. During the operation, the oncologist found that the cancer suspected had spread to a few location and he believes it is stage 3. We are still waiting to learn the exact type of cancer, which we hope to find out in the coming days. This news has been overwhelming for our family, and my mom now faces a long road to recovery, including chemotherapy and ongoing medical care.
She is a wife, mom, grandma, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and coworker—and truly the rock of our family. She is the one who holds all of us together. She is steady, kind, nurturing, and strong. She just loves people and is always there for others, no matter what.
For over 40 years, she has worked at the Idaho County Free Press and has been an integral part of the Grangeville, Idaho community. She has given so much of herself to others over the years, both through her work and in her everyday life.
She has remained incredibly strong through all of this, and if you know her, you know she would never ask for help herself—which is why we are asking for her.
As she focuses on healing, she will need support covering medical bills, living expenses, and groceries during the months ahead when she is unable to work.
We are asking for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with her and our family.
