Hello, towards the end of last year I suffered a serious knee injury at my job that required surgery that was delayed for 6 months. During that time, I have had a whole host of other health problems come up, including my joint hypermobility significantly worsening and causing frequent injuries and pain. Shortly after my surgery I suffered from multiple pulmonary embolisms (in case you don't know, these are blood clots in your lungs), which nearly caused me to die. My knee has healed okay in the past few weeks, but I am now struggling with both the aftermath of these pulmonary embolisms and my shoulder being subluxed for months now. I have also been struggling with my other chronic conditions (POTS) and dealing with severe back pain. I have been scraping by on worker's compensation for most of the year now, but I am no longer receiving assistance because my knee is mostly healed. I am in no way ready to return to work, as both standing and sitting for long periods of time are painful and extremely difficult, and I am struggling to walk.
My entire life these past few months has been nothing but doctor's appointments. Currently I am going to need three separate ongoing instances of physical therapy for my joint hypermobility and knee, as well as bloodwork and hematology to monitor my blood thinners. My goal is to hopefully receive an EDS diagnosis and look at getting disability benefits, but in the meantime I have no income nor financial support. I desperately need to make it through these next two months at least. Any support is appreciated more than I could ever express. Thank you.
