My son JT has always been a source of strength and joy in our family. After a year of going from doctor to doctor for extremely bad headaches,he was finally diagnosed with cancer and has been fighting since September 2025. This news came just after he had starting a new chapter in his life—getting married and welcoming a beautiful baby girl in April. Instead of enjoying those precious first moments with his daughter and wife, JT has faced a difficult road filled with treatments and side effects that have taken a toll on his health and spirit.
Our family’s challenges have only grown. I have recently been diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer and am preparing for a double mastectomy, which has made it even harder for me to support JT and his family in the ways I wish I could. On top of that, JT’s beloved rescue dog of 9 years has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has limited time left, adding another layer of heartbreak to an already overwhelming time.
While we have managed to get by financially so far, the medical bills are now piling up, and social security support is still nowhere in sight. Now finding out his wife doesnt qualify for paid leave because she doesnt have enough hours worked. Taking off to have the baby last year made her not reach the 1250 hrs requires to qualify. The stress of these mounting expenses is making an already tough situation even harder for JT and his young family. As his mom, I want nothing more than to help ease their burden so they can focus on what truly matters: JT’s recovery and time together as a family.
We are reaching out to our community for help. Your support will go directly toward JT’s medical bills, his daughter’s needs, and allowing his wife or myself to take time off work to care for him. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Thank you for considering helping our family during this challenging time.
