Support for Joy & Shane Nicely during her transplant journey
Donation protected
Our beloved Joy Nicely has FOUND A KIDNEY and will receive the gift of a new start by Thanksgiving!
Miss Joy has greeted us at Lucy Beckham High School since the school started and has always been kind, patient, and available for our children and the community. Her husband of almost 30 years, Shane Nicely, is the Service Lane Manager at Starling Chevrolet in Mt. Pleasant and enjoys a wonderful reputation for taking care of his customers and his family.
This loving family, their children, and grandchildren have been patiently waiting for a kidney while Miss Joy has gone through months of expensive medical treatment already. The next few months will be wonderful and exhausting for them.
THIS REQUEST IS TO GIVE THEM ONE LESS WORRY. Donating to this fund allows the family one more day off from work to care for Miss Joy and still make ends meet. One less decision about how to manage the extraordinary cost of healthcare. A sense of peace that will support them so they can concentrate on their wife, mother, grandmother.
Kidney transplants and the treatment required cost over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS on average.
Miss Joy said it best in her LBHS introduction when she was the one caring for us:
"Always pray to have eyes to see the BEST in people, a heart that FORGIVES the worst, a mind that FORGETS the bad, and a soul that NEVER LOSES FAITH in God."
Thank you for considering a gift to these good people.
