This fundraiser is to support my brother-in-law, Matt. He works as a journeyman lineman. Earlier this week, he was electrocuted by contact with an energized, high voltage powerline.

Matt was flown to a Denver area hospital by Flight for Life and is in critical condition in the burn ICU. He has been through two surgeries so far, with many more to come during his recovery.

Every day, Matt's wife, Nicole, his parents and sister travel over an hour each way to be by his side. Matt's brother, sister-in-law and nephew have also traveled to Colorado from Texas to be by his side for the coming weeks.

While the emotional toll is immense, I would like to ask that we help ease the financial strain and uncertainty that comes with a sudden crisis like this. I'm sure it is absolutely overwhelming, especially considering this happened only three days after getting married to my sister. This should be such a happy time for them. It is heartbreaking.

Matt is someone who is loved by everyone who has had the privilege of being around him. Anyone who has ever worked with him knows what an amazing guy he is, and our family is so grateful for any support we can get to help him recover.

The amount of people who have reached out to see what Matt and Nicole need is truly incredible.
