This morning, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My 17-year-old nephew, Josiah, was tragically shot and killed. Josiah was a loving son, brother, and friend who cared deeply for his family, especially his mom. His sudden passing has left us heartbroken and facing challenges we never expected.

My sister and our family are doing our best to support each other along with his siblings Tylyn and Josiah’s 9-year-old sister, who was extremely close to him. While there may be a little life insurance, it won’t be enough to cover all the expenses we’re facing. We want to give Josiah the memorial he deserves, and we know counseling and support will be needed for both his siblings as we all try to heal from this tragedy.
