On Friday, January 29, Andrea had a planned C-section and gave birth to a healthy, 9lb baby boy Oden. After the procedure she was healthy and happy. About two minuets after asking for some meds to help with anxiety and being given some, she went into cardiac arrest and passed away. The doctors were able to revive her with paddles and CPR but her heartbeat was weak and she was placed on life support. She also needed a blood transfusion. The situation was very grim. We were given so much hope when she woke up for the first time briefly on Saturday the 30th. She had blood clots and bleeding and fluid in her lungs. 
Today, on February 1, the bleeding in her lungs has finally stopped. The next couple days are all about letting Andreas body rest as much as possible before they try to take her off oxygen, take the trach tube out, etc and see if she can breathe on her own.
We are praying that God will restore her body fully. But it will take a long, long time. 

We have already seen God provide for their needs so much by all the support in prayer, meals, childcare, and financial donations that have been given. And on behalf of Josiah, Andrea, and our entire family we are so, so grateful! We have been SO blessed by all of the love and support. 

The needs will continue throughout this recovery process, as neither Josiah or Andrea will be able to work for some time and it is unknown how much longer Andrea will need medical care. This fundraiser is to help get a start on those future needs, such as rent, food, and other monthly bills.  This goal would cover those costs for the next 3-4 months.
