On Thursday, May 21st, 2026, Joshua Price went to the doctor for what seemed like a swollen lymph node in his neck. During a routine chest X-ray, doctors discovered two masses in his chest. Joshua was immediately transferred to Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center, where he has remained hospitalized ever since. His parents, Jacquelyn and Jason, have been by his side constantly as they face an overwhelming and frightening situation no family is ever prepared for. Although the doctors have confirmed cancer, an official diagnosis, stage, and game plan are still being worked on.

Joshua is one of six kids, and the family is facing travel expenses as they navigate this crisis. The costs of meals, transportation, parking, and other unexpected needs are quickly adding up, making an already difficult situation even harder. Jacquelyn and Jason are focused entirely on Joshua’s care, and the last thing they should have to worry about is the growing financial strain.
