My brother, Joshua Kunkel, and my 9-year-old niece, Kiara, were recently displaced by a devastating house fire here in State College. While they are thankfully safe, their home was heavily damaged, and they are now facing significant upfront expenses as they work to replace essential belongings and begin rebuilding. Tragically, they also lost their two pet cats in the fire.
