Dear Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news of this loss.

Our brother, José Navarro, passed away unexpectedly on August 2nd, 2026 in our family home in Gresham, Oregon.

He was not just our brother, but he was also a grandpa, a dad, a son, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a mentor, an artist, and so much more. José has always been known as a quiet, contemplative, and creative man. Regardless of his love for solitude, he always showed up in our time of need. He was industrious, knowledgeable, and his rich inner world and perceptive nature meant he always gave the best advice. He listened when we needed someone to listen. He laughed when we needed laughter, and he encouraged us to slow down and reflect when we needed that too.

He leaves us his creative legacy– from graffiti, murals, sculpture and metal smithing, as well as the echoes of his love, generosity and his faith.

The reality of his sudden absence from this Earth is unbearable. Our hearts hurt as the wave of grief washes over us. With his death we carry the love, the memories, the advice and guidance.

To our dear friends, family and loved ones: we humbly ask for your help as we prepare to bury our brother, José. Any sum you are willing to contribute will greatly help in covering the unexpected funeral costs so we can send him off with love.
