Jose was my yard man for 17 years, but over that time he became so much more than a service provider, he became a true friend. He started his lawn service, JAL Lawn Care, in 2007 and quickly became known for his reliability, attention to detail, and the genuine care he showed every client. Jose’s integrity and decency as a Godly man shined in every conversation, and he was always there to laugh and cry with us through all of life’s ups and downs.
When my husband of 23 years passed away in 2023, Jose stood with me in my front yard, in the presence of two of his boys, and sobbed alongside me as I was overcome by grief. He was a true example of a strong man that emanated love and compassion for all those around him.
Sadly, Jose passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from cancer on December 5th, 2025. He was the sole provider for his devoted wife Gabby of 28 years and their 4-year-old daughter, and he is survived by four young adult sons. His passing has left a tremendous void, not only in his family but in the lives of everyone who knew him.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to helping his family with medical bills, college education for one of his sons, health insurance premiums for his wife and children, and living expenses as they adjust to life without his steady support. Jose’s lawn care business was their main source of income, and your support will help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.
Jose had a beautiful heart that loved and served all those around him, and he is dearly missed. If you are able, please consider donating to help his family as they navigate this loss. Your kindness and generosity will mean so much to them and will honor the memory of a man who gave so much to his community.
