Jose was young man with a bright future ahead. At just 21 years old, he lost his battle after a couple days on the ICU due to severe complications from diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). His brain wasn't able to receive enough oxygen to function properly and after several test his brain was declared as brain death. A few hours later after his last diagnosis, his body suffered another cardiac arrest and passed away.

He spend 3 days and half at the hospital total since he was admitted on a critical condition.

This is an incredibly difficult time for our family, and we are doing everything we can to support Jose.

Our family recently moved to Florida, hoping to start a new chapter in our lives, but this crisis has made things unimaginably hard. I am not able to work right now due to a previous health complication, and my return to work date was set for March 9, 2026, but I had to request more days for this recent terrible experience.

He always dreamed of a better future he created poetry on TikTok, started the process to join the Marines, and wanted to go back to college. He is my second son of three, and he has always been a friendly, big-hearted person who easily made friends wherever he went.

The funds raised will help us cover urgent medical bills, possible funeral and service expenses in two cities and Mexico, support for lost income, and therapy for our family as we try to recover from this tragedy.
