Support for Joseph Sampson Medical Care and Bills
Donation protected
Joseph “Joe” Sampson, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend fell ill on Thursday,
July 27, with what started out as food poisoning. By Saturday was admitted to the hospital, and diagnosed with a perforated sigmoid colon. He was hospitalized for 5 days with tremendous pain, and was placed on IV only fluids and antibiotics while enduring testing. Upon discharge while he convalesces he has been staying with our mother Joy, whom we are so grateful has nursing experience. His dedicated wife Ash has cared for him around the clock as well, and is now holding down the fort at home while mom takes over for a bit.
The road to recovery is daunting, and full of unknown variables. Joe is experiencing extreme
difficulty with sleep, muscle cramps, and anxiety, while slowly incorporating liquid and soft
foods. The doctors anticipate at least 4-8 weeks until he is feeling somewhat normal again.
Once his colon is healed enough, a colonoscopy will be required, as well as extensive follow-up appointments and care by GI specialists.
Joe is the sole breadwinner of his family consisting of him, his wife Ash, and son Jet, so the family is in need of support at this time as he continues to be off work. The scope of medical bills and household expenses is yet to be determined. Please, would you consider donating? Let’s surround Joe and his family with love and support for the healing journey. Joe conveys his gratitude for his wife, mom, family, and everyone who has shown support during this difficult time.
With Gratitude,
