Joseandres was my uncle, and he was only 22 years old when his life was taken from us. He was autistic and didn’t speak, but he communicated his love and dedication through his actions. From the age of 12, Joseandres worked tirelessly in construction and welding, doing everything he could to support his parents, who struggled with addiction. Despite the challenges he faced, he never gave up on his family and always put their needs first.

One night, while walking with a friend in the Dominican Republic, Joseandres was shot in the back and left to bleed out. His sudden and brutal passing has left our family devastated and in urgent need of support. The pain of losing him is compounded by the financial burden of funeral costs, travel expenses, and the need to help sustain his family, including his brother’s family, who depended on him.
