In Loving Memory of Jose “Junior” Vasquez
It is with shattered hearts that we share the tragic passing of Jose Vasquez Jr. who lost his life in a fatal workplace accident on Friday, February 20, 2026. He passed into eternity later that evening.
Junior was a devoted husband to Yaimel Vasquez & the proud father of five beautiful children:
Israel Jose Vasquez, Charles Xavier Skurka-Vasquez, Isaac Skurka-Vasquez, Serenity Rose Vasquez, and Kataleya Marie Vasquez.
His children were his greatest pride and greatest joy. In the last two years of his life, he worked tirelessly to provide for them. He carried a vision of leaving them more than memories. He dreamed of leaving them stability, opportunity, and an inheritance. Everything he did was rooted in his love for his children and his desire to see them succeed.
He was the beloved son of Maria and AJ. A devoted brother to Erica, David, Ashley, and Rehanna.
And a brother not only by blood, but to many lifelong friends who were family to him.
Jose was deeply loved because he loved deeply. He showed up. He worked hard. He cared for his people. His greatest pride was being “Dad.”
As we prepare to lay him to rest, we — the mothers of his children — are humbly asking for support from our community. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help cover funeral expenses.
Any remaining funds will be equally divided among his children to help support their needs as we adjust to raising them without their wonderful father.
We ask that you give from your heart, whatever you are able.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
911 Englewood
Viewing begins at 4:00 PM
Service at 7:00 PM
Junior’s biggest pride was in his children. We commit to honoring that pride by ensuring they are surrounded by love, opportunity, and support. Lord, hold each of them in Your arms. Amen.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your love during this incredibly difficult time.
-What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.
