Dear Friends and Family,
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved, Jose Medrano. On December 20, 2020, he peacefully passed on at the age of 61. He was a kind, funny, caring, hardworking, and loving family man.
Unfortunately, our father suffered two strokes this year. He was a fighter and recovered quickly from his first stroke in February. However, the most recent stroke was more damaging than the doctors had initially thought. He succumbed to his illnesses after fighting through the stroke and a small heart attack. Throughout our lives, our father showed us what it was to have courage and fight, which he did to the very end. Sadly, due to current events we were not able to be by his side. A kind nurse set up a phone call so we could all say our goodbyes and prayers. We loved our father unconditionally and glad he was at least able to hear his family as he entered into eternal life.
Our Dad was a sweet soul; loved by so many. He was a good father, grandpa, husband and a generous friend to anyone who crossed his path. His smile was contagious and will always be remembered for his love for life—dancing or watching a Dodger game while spending time with his family.
“Where there is a will there’s a way” are words we will forever hold close to hearts as no matter how tough life got. Our father was always optimistic and pushing through life, including all of the ups and downs. Even with his declining health, he never wanted to ask anyone for help.
Our family cannot begin to imagine what his wife of 18 Years is going through in this difficult transition and new journey without our dad. He was the sole provider for his family including his wife, who works as a stay-at-home mom, opening their home and heart to raising their nephew since birth as well as our younger sister.
Our fathers peremptory planning set his wife up for minor expenses, in the event of his passing. Due to unexpected funeral costs, any amount helps to ease the burden of daily struggles and costs that our stepmom may incur. As she does not have income at the moment, our hope is to help her move forward.
Thank you for all your love and support during this time, please note it does not go unnoticed.
