Our family is asking for prayers and support for my son, Jose Luis Luevano, who was tragically shot on May 11 while leaving a hardcore show at EP Underground in El Paso, Texas. Jose suffered 4 gunshot wounds that caused serious injuries to his lungs, liver, and arm. He is currently in the ICU fighting through recovery and has already endured multiple medical procedures.

Anyone who knows Jose knows he is truly a light in this world. He has always been the kind of person who makes everyone feel welcome, loved, and seen. Jose has a huge heart and a contagious spirit that brings people together. He loves riding his motorcycle, supporting local and start-up bands, going to shows, and simply enjoying life with the people he cares about most. Music and community mean everything to him, and he has always been the first to show up and support others chasing their dreams. Jose is loving, caring, loyal, and the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He has touched so many lives through his kindness, humor, and genuine soul. Seeing him now fighting for his life in the ICU has been heartbreaking for everyone who loves him.

While we are beyond grateful that Jose is still with us, his recovery journey will be long and difficult. He will need extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and support as he heals physically, emotionally, and mentally from this traumatic event. During this time, he will be unable to work, and the financial burden continues to grow for him and our family. We are asking for prayers, donations, and shares to help Jose during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward medical expenses, recovery costs, and helping him focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship.
